In him was life, and that life was the light of men." This time of year we are reminded of God's amazing gift of life and light. We are excited to bring God's gift of Jesus to the people of Sioux City.

There are over 100,000 people living in the Sioux City area that need the light and life of Jesus. Drew and Amber Hanson are already making a wide variety of new relationships from farmers to eye doctors through basketball and slow pitch softball. One of the things about sports is that it knows no economic barriers and is one of the key strategies for reaching the community. God will use these new relationships to fulfill the mission of the new church which is to rally around Jesus and live like him. This will be our fifth year for CEM TEAM RAGBRAI. If you have ever wanted to bike across our great state I can't think of a better group to ride with and a better reason to do so. Not only will you be with a group of CEM churches but you will also be able to sleep inside every night. The cost is very affordable because of the churches that allow us to lodge in their facilities. If you are interested in riding with the team I need to know right away because the group fills up quickly. It is a great way to pray for the thousands of people who still need a local church and help raise additional financial support to start churches. Two years ago we prayed for Sioux City as we rode through it and next year we are starting a new church there.
